Bottineau Volunteer Fire Dept.:

 

The City of Bottineau has a volunteer Fire Dept. of 30 members.  The Fire Dept. was formally established in 1901 after a huge downtown fire destroyed 2 blocks of downtown businesses.

Our Fire Dept. has an ISO Rating of 6 for insurance purposes.  Equipment and vehicles are kept updated and modern. 

The annual Firemens Dance  is held every year  & is the main fund raiser for the Fire Dept.

 A new fire hall was constructed in 2025 - location is corner of Sinclair & 7th St W.  

Police Department:

The City of Bottineau contracts their policing with Bottineau County.  There are currently 4 deputies that are assigned mainly to the City, and they are overseen by Bottineau County Sheriff, Jeremy Toftland.
