Reduce, Reuse & Recycle !

The City of Bottineau recycles the following items:
  • Trees, Branches, Leaves, Grass and Garden Waste.
  • Corrugated Cardboard.
  • Aluminum Cans.
  • Recycling Center is located at the Bottineau City Shop- 1/2 mile north of Fairgrounds. 

All recycling items must be kept seperate and placed in specific dumpsters.  Please follow all instructions posted at the recycling center.

We are currently working on finding a site to accept other recyclables, in 2020 we lost this service as the Minot Recycling Center closed down. 

 

Landfill prices & policy regarding burnables.

As of Dec. 1, 2009  the City can only accept wood products in the burn pile.  The City will reject any loads that are mixed, or that contain products that are no wood such as:  sheetrock, glass, paper, carpet, metal, shingles, etc.  These items must now be seperated.

Current landfill rates are: as 0f 10/1/22.  Please note that these prices may vary depending on what is being dumped & if things need to be separated by the city, etc. 

Household garbage is $83.13/ton or .041565/pound

Inert landfill:  2 wheel trailer & pickups-$15.00  

                     4 wheel trailers & single axle trucks-$30.00

                     Dump trailer-$35.00

                     Tandem axle truck-$50.00

Tires:  car/pickup & smaller-$3.00/tire

          trucks-$10.00/tire

          tractor & larger-$25.00/tire

Appliances:  $25.00 each

A garbage Sur-charge will be added to each dump.
